A ladder is the best score each registered handle has submitted on one test, sorted the way that test already sorts — faster down the page for a time, higher up for a level. It is a side page, never a step in front of a test.

Why guests are left off
A guest has a real id and can save later, but it does not have a name that belongs on a public list. Publishing anonymous ids is not a competition; it is a leak.
A handle is the ticket. No handle, no row. Two people who fold to the same letters cannot both keep it — the first claim stands.
The public distribution on each test page still counts every finished attempt, handle or not. The ladder is a second view, not a replacement for the chart.
Best means best, not latest
One row per handle per series. Improving your own number replaces it; a worse sitting does not. That is the only update a ledger of attempts is allowed to project onto a ranked list.
Modes that the test itself splits — mouse against touch, key against click — stay split here. A ladder that mixed them would repeat the lie the rest of the site exists to avoid.
Fifty rows is enough to see the top of a small site and small enough that this page cannot become a directory of every account.
A ladder is not a reason to start the test
This page does not launch anything. Follow the test’s own link if you want another sitting. Putting a start button here would turn a side view into a gate.
Empty lists are the honest first week. Inventing placeholder names would be the same lie as drawing a curve from thirty attempts.
If your handle is missing after a good score, you have an attempt and no name. Register, pick one, and the next load of this list will see it. Guests stay off the table until that name exists.
This is a measurement toy, not a medical or psychological test. No score here says anything about your health, attention or cognition, and it is not a screening tool of any kind.

- The attempt is stored, but the ladder only shows registered handles. Save an account and pick a name.
- Does the ladder change the chart?
- No. Charts count everyone. The ladder is an optional name on top of a subset.
